LISTENING SESSIONS WITH THE VERY REV. GIDEON POLLACH

As St. John's begins the discernment process for a new priest-in-charge, the Wardens and Vestry would like to invite you to attend either one or both scheduled Listening Sessions facilitated by the Very Reverend Gideon Pollach.

We value your input and participation in this very important process as the wardens and vestry interview and select a new priest-in-charge in the coming months. These listening sessions are the first pivotal step in the process.

Belle Voci: 2025 Candlelight Remembrance

Friday, August 10 at 4pm

This inspiring, healing performance takes place at historic St. John’s Episcopal Church, Huntington, renowned for its outreach ministries and richly diverse programs of cultural events. Belle Voci singers join with professional instrumentalists in this timeless musical offering that includes an evening Candlelight Remembrance Ceremony acknowledging cancer survivors, those living with cancer, and persons in memoriam. Upon arrival to the event, concert goers are invited to submit the names of loved ones to be read during the ceremony and to attend a Parish Hall reception following the concert.

Belle Voci is an intergenerational, philanthropic performing organization comprising professional singers and amateur singers with a common mission of supporting cancer prevention, cure, and catharsis through elevated and inspired choral performance and ceremony.

St. John’s Director of Music and Artist in Residence, Alex Pryrodny, has noted, “as we welcome Belle Voci back to our church setting, concert goers (on arrival) can expect to be invited to submit the names of loved ones to be read during the ceremony and to attend a Parish Hall reception following the concert. The evening will be a unique experience for attendees, and the music will include works by McGlynn, Sorenson, Esmail, Säge and Gimon. We know director Jennifer Scott Miceli will create a moving program in support of cancer prevention and cure." Tickets are $30 general admission; however, tickets for Seniors and students with ID will be $20. Visit bellevociny.org for more info about this choir group and tickets.
